At the Spring 2005 NGIN meeting in Ellensburg, Carlos A. Diaz submitted several ideas for
presentations NGIN could make for the WLA 2006.
After discussion from the membership, it was decided that the following three programs
would serve as great presentations for WLA 2006:
Government 102: How Do I Find State Government Information?
The ABC's of finding government information in Washington State as well as other states.
Legal Research 101: Researching Cases at the Local and State Level
Legal history research can be a challenge sometimes especially when you are trying to find
information at the local and state level. Where do you go to find the information? This
program will help you find the answers.
Rebel with a Cause: Government Information as a Source for Grassroots Activism
This is a panel discussion on not only how to use government information to make your case for your
cause but also how to achieve your goal. Who does one talk to? How do you break the red tape
of bureaucracy?
As a result, NGIN is looking for a few good men and women to help make these presentations at WLA 2006. If you are interested in
making a presentation, please send an email to
Carlos A. Diaz .
